Ignite 2014 - An Entrepreneur Forum is targeted to business startups and growing small businesses. The forum will bring together a panel of local entrepreneurs to offer insight on how to stay viable and successful through good and bad climates, followed by a Q&A session. Ignite is a quarterly event and will be held upstairs at Amendment XXI.

      John has a deep personal interest in emerging medical technologies since he has received surgically implanted stem cells to repair his injured knee, his wife is a two time cancer survivor and one of his sons has bilateral cochlear implants. He is an accomplished pilot having attained over 10,000 hours of flight time while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and flying for a major U.S. airline. He and his wife Jennifer along with their daughter and two sons (plus 2 dogs) currently reside in Huntsville, Alabama.
      His next book is "Onwards! - Master the Power of Accelerating Technological Change and Dominate Your Marketplace" with co-author Ron Phillips. (Spring 2015)

One of my fondest memories is helping my Nanny bake one of our family’s favorite Christmas treats: Fresh Coconut Cake! I suppose that’s where it all began. As an architect student, with a need to help pay for school, I began to wait tables in a local restaurant. My interest quickly grew beyond the dining room to the kitchen where those treats were being made. This great interest and diverse experience enabled me to travel the States opening 16 corporate restaurants as trainer/manager before two restaurants of my own came to be.
     In 1995, Cyn Shea's Complete Catering, Inc. opened as a "distinctively different" catering business that quickly built a reputation for being among the best in our field by providing exceptionally fresh and innovative foods! Founded in Fayetteville, TN, our business was built on strong relationships with our clients, our community and our expansive vendor network. Our company expanded in 2002 to include an instantly popular 50-seat café in Hampton Cove, AL, and just five years later, we moved to downtown Huntsville in a much larger, casual-but-elegant bistro. Cyn Shea’s expanded again in 2012 to add a specialty cake line to the business. Through the years, we have won multiple industry awards and today, 20 years later, Cyn Shea’s is still well known for its ‘distinctive difference’ - that difference being the difference our Lord Jesus Christ has made in our lives and in the operations of this very challenging yet exciting business.
