This two-hour workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the steps required and recommended for starting a small business in the State of Alabama.
Covering topic areas such as:
- a Business Start-up checklist
- reserving a company name
- pros/cons of optional legal structures
- getting an tax number
- business taxes getting a DUNS number (if required)
- state and licensing requirements
The workshop also will touch on the importance of resource partners such as a business attorney, a banker, an outside accountant, and an insurance agent. Finally, there will be a discussion of the value of a robust business plan and Proforma financials.
Participants will also receive various helpful handouts as workshop take-aways.
