Julian Butler honored with AHA’s Champion of the Humanities Award

Dentons Sirote is proud to announce that Julian Butler, a shareholder in our Huntsville office, has been honored with the esteemed Champion of the Humanities Award by the Alabama Humanities Alliance (AHA). The award was presented during the AHA Colloquium held on December 2, 2024, at the Alys Stephens Center in Birmingham as part of AHA's celebration of its first 50 years of uplifting the humanities in Alabama.

The Champion of the Humanities Award recognizes the significant contributions of individuals or organizations that advance the mission of the humanities throughout the state. Butler, who previously served on the AHA board, continues to demonstrate his commitment by offering pro bono legal support and actively participating in fundraising efforts for AHA’s programs.

Butler’s involvement extends beyond his work with AHA; he also serves on the Alabama Department of Archives and History Board of Trustees. In this capacity, he plays a crucial role in the preservation and promotion of Alabama’s rich cultural heritage, further showcasing his unwavering commitment to civic engagement and the humanities.
