Palmetto Infusion, a Southeastern ambulatory and home infusion company, is in the business of restoring health and hope to immunocompromised and chronically ill patients who rely on infusion and injectable treatments throughout each of its 25 locations. One of the first ambulatory infusion clinics in the country upon its founding in 1999, the company continues to experience exponential growth and today announces its expansion of patient care into its fourth state of Alabama.

On March 1, 2021, Palmetto Infusion partnered with the Birmingham-based infusion clinic, AccuRX Infusion Center. Founded in 2017 by pharmacists David Bush and Todd Carter, AccuRX established an infusion clinic for patients with chronic illness. This merger marks Palmetto Infusion’s first clinic in Alabama, and plants a flag in a city where its administrative reimbursement offices are already located.

Based on AccuRX’s recognition and reputation for patient care in the Alabama market, future locations in the state will operate under the AccuRX name, while incorporating Palmetto Infusion’s additional support, philosophy, and approach to care. Under this approach, local referring physicians, nurses, and staff can rely on the management of tasks like pre-authorizations and compliance reporting, and gain access to a greater variety of treatments for patients in specialty practice areas such as neurology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, pulmonology, asthma and allergy, dermatology, and more.
