MEMBER EVENTS: The Joy of Juneteenth with Opal Lee

Meet Opal Lee, Grandmother of Juneteenth. The first 100 attendees will receive a free copy of Dr. Lee’s book, Juneteenth: A Children’s Story, as a gift from the UAH Humanities Center. (Other giveaways also will be available.) This event is free, open to the public, accessible, and child-friendly. Masks are required.

Hear Ms. Lee discuss the history and significance of Juneteenth, and pick up some free souvenirs from the UAH Humanities Center. WAFF’s Margo Gray will moderate, and the City of Huntsville will make a special announcement.
