MEMBER EVENT: Walk MS: North Alabama
Hundreds of people are expected to raise $106K to stop multiple sclerosis in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever at the Annual Walk MS: North Alabama. Walk MS is an opportunity for people living with MS and those who care about them to connect, be inspired and raise critical funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Participants can choose from 1 or 3 mile fully accessible routes. After the walk, there will be live music and activities for the whole family. Walk MS is the rallying point for the MS Movement, a time and a place for our communities to come together to raise funds and celebrate hope for the future. Funds raised during the walk support programs and services that directly benefit more than 7,000 families living with MS in Alabama and Mississippi.
"Walk MS: N. Alabama allows us to stand together against a disease that affects so much of our community," said Andrew Bell, Chapter President. "It is truly a privilege to be able to raise awareness and contribute to research efforts that are so dedicated to finding a cure. Plus, it really is a fun event. Whether you have a personal connection to MS or not, it's a great way to spend the day with your family. Because of the committed efforts of this community, there is hope for a future free of MS."
