MEMBER EVENT: USASAC Security Assistance and FMS Across the Globe
Join NAITA and the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) for an overview of USASAC and the US Army Foreign Military Sales (FMS) enterprise. Major General Mark McDonald, Commanding General of USASAC, will provide the keynote address.
USASAC is broken down into regionally aligned COCOM operations reaching every continent in the world with the potential sale of equipment, spare parts, maintenance, training and simulation, technical documentation and facilities. MG McDonald’s presentation and the subsequent discussion will focus on Foreign Military Sales being conducted across the globe in these separate regions, including regional trends. Additional briefings will focus on challenges faced by large companies and how Small Business can help, as well as a brief from the AMC Small Business Office. The meeting will focus on facilitating interaction between the military and industry, and the benefits of developing relationships with foreign countries.
USASAC implements approved U.S. Army security assistance programs, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS) of defense articles and services to eligible foreign governments. The command manages more than 4,700 FMS cases valued at $156 billion for 145 countries, and is responsible for the complete life cycle management of FMS cases.
NAITA offers these briefings to educate the business community at large on FMS. Please join us in welcoming MG McDonald and learning about USASAC, Security Assistance, and FMS Across the Globe.
