MEMBER EVENT: Tri For Ole Glory

Join us for the Reverse Sprint distance triathlon hosted by Team Rocket Tri Club of Huntsville. This fun race begins with a 3.1 mile run that is on a mix of dirt, gravel and pavement surfaces.

Racers transition to an eight-mile mountain bike course that slips through a wide variety of hardwoods, cedar and pine groves. Enjoy the race amid a backdrop of airplanes, rockets and space memorabilia as you wind though a course that looks flat but will fool you with climbs and twists, creek crossings and jumps. Finally, racers cool off with a 200-meter swim in the Aviation Challenge chlorinated lake. Never deeper than four feet, tired swimmers have the ability to stand up and catch their breath if needed. This swim venue is considered beginner-friendly.

Awards will follow the race in the shade of the covered pavilion, affectionately known as "The Bubble".
