MEMBER EVENT: Project ImPACT Advanced Workshop – Regional Autism Network (2 days)
Project ImPACT is an evidence-based intervention that teaches social communication to autistic children and those with other social communication needs between the ages 18 months to 6 years, but may be used for older children with cognitive and language delays. It was developed with the specific goal of supporting the use of best practices in parent-mediated interventions.
This 12-hour Advanced Course is open to providers who would like to use the Project ImPACT intervention with autistic children and those with other social communication needs. The workshop will use a combination of lecture, roleplay and small group discussion to teach participants how to use the Project ImPACT Second Edition curriculum to teach families how to promote their child’s social communication during daily routines and activities.
The goal is for participants to become familiar with using the intervention so that they can use it within their organization directly with the children that they serve. In addition, participants will be taught how to implement the program in a parent training format within their organization.
Professional approvals are available.
