MEMBER EVENT: Human Foosball Tournament, Round 2

Maybe you missed Human Foosball the first time around. Or your team is ready to redeem itself… Jump inside the foosball table and take matters into your own hands. Join the Alabama Center for Sustainable Energy for a day of fun and show off your “human” energy.

Register for tournament by purchasing a team ticket. We will contact you for the names and emails of each team member. Also, you’ll need to have a creatively awesome team name. Overview:

• 8 Players per Team
• Double Elimination Bracket
• 15 Minute Games
• Highest Score Wins (each goal worth 1 point)

Rules:

• Hands on Bars at All Time (INCLUDING goalie)
• Ball is Placed in Center to Begin Game
• Ball is Placed in Center (rolled toward non offending team after penalties)
• Ball Must Stay Below Bars
• No Cleats
• No ‘Trapping’ of the Ball

FAQs:

Are there liability requirements?
You will be required to sign a liability waiver in order to play.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must be 18 years old to compete. Your ID will be checked at check-in.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
We will have a list of participants but we recommend bringing your paper ticket to make sure you get a spot.

What can I eat/drink?
There are many restaurants in the downtown area like Pane e Vino and the Cozy Cow. Your team will have a scheduled break for lunch. You can also bring your own food/drink into the park.

Is alcohol allowed?
YES! Big Spring Park East is inside the entertainment district. Pane Vino has graciously agreed to serve! I hope you’re thirsty. All entertainment district ordinances apply.

Where can I park?
You can park on the street on both Church Street and Fountain Circle. Or you can park in the public parking deck across the street from Big Spring Park attached to PNC Bank.

What do we win?
The Human Foosball Trophy and championship t-shirts!

What if someone on my team doesn’t show?
We recommend that you have at least one alternative in case a buddy no shows you. If not, you can play down a person or two. You’ll just be handicapped.

What if I need to potty?
Restrooms will be available on site.
