MEMBER EVENT: Community Awareness for Youth (CAFY)
The Ninth Community Awareness for Youth (CAFY) 2019 will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Calhoun Community College- Huntsville Campus at 102 Wynn Drive. CAFY is an annual back to school event that focuses on four pillars of success, careers, education, finances and health and is designed to provide families with essential resources for academic and life success. CAFY’s mission is to prepare the youth of Huntsville/Madison County for success as they venture into adulthood, enter the workforce or pursue higher education. In addition to over 70+ displays featuring information about community activities and resources and will include live demonstrations, food trucks, inflatables, games, door prizes, youth-talent showcase and 500 FREE back backs filled with school supplies. The event is designed for youth in grades 7 through 12, but is FREE and open to the entire public. Vendors with community-based, family, youth and children services can register for free. CAFY is collaboration between the City of Huntsville’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, Madison City and Madison County with generous support from individual donors and businesses throughout the community.
