MEMBER EVENT: Calhoun Student Ambassadors Host Winter Drive

The Calhoun Warhawk Student Ambassadors have teamed up again with the North Alabama Coalition for the Homeless (NACH) to kick-off their 3^rd Annual Winter Drive. The official start to the event was October 1.
 
With freezing temperatures during the winter months in North Alabama, keeping warm is a struggle. Even during winter days, the wind and cold temperatures still don't let up. Calhoun’s Student Ambassadors are seeking help from the local community to assist in spreading the gift of warmth to those in need this winter. While blankets are the main items the students are requesting, they are also collecting new or gently used winter jackets, gloves, and scarves, in all sizes. All items will be distributed to those that are less fortunate in Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties by the staff at NACH.

About the Calhoun Warhawk Student Ambassadors
Warhawks are the official hosts and hostesses that represent Calhoun at special events and receptions on campus. We work hard and have fun doing it. We take pride in our school and our community and serve both by assisting with such activities as campus tours, high school college programs, local organizations, and other club and groups on campus with enthusiasm – all while keeping our grades up. It is a great way to meet other students, faculty and administrators, and become involved in student activities and your community.
 
About the NACH
The North Alabama Coalition for the Homeless (NACH) has been an active nonprofit organization since 1997. Presently their offices are located in Huntsville, Alabama at the Family Services Center of Huntsville, 4092 South Memorial Parkway, Suite 205. The mission of the NACH is to educate the public regarding homelessness, and to coordinate and facilitate the efforts of agencies, communities and concerned citizens into a seamless Continuum of Care to affect positive solutions to homelessness in Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties of North Alabama.
