MEMBER EVENT: 15th Annual Writer's Conference with ESPN's Jeremy Schaap
Calhoun Community College is thrilled to announce ESPN anchor and national correspondent Jeremy Schaap as the featured speaker for the 15th Annual Writers Conference.
Schaap has won multiple national Sports Emmy Awards and many other honors for his work, including a national Edward R. Murrow Award (2012) and a National Headliner Award (2007). He is the author of Cinderella Man, a New York Times bestseller, Triumph: The Untold Story of Jesse Owens and Hitler's Olympics. His best-known stories at ESPN include a Bobby Fischer profile, which earned him the national Sports Emmy Award for writing.
A VIP meet and greet reception with Schaap is being planned for the session on October 19 at 6 p.m. A limited number of tickets for $50 are available – $45 of your ticket price is tax deductible, and all proceeds go to support Calhoun's Humanities Scholarship Endowment: The Wendy Williams Award.
