2026 GO Rocket City! Intern Program - Christmas in June

Have a holly, jolly Christmas...in June! Join us at Christmas Charities Year Round as we give back to the community. Christmas Charities Year Round (CCYR) is one of Madison County's oldest, locally-founded nonprofits with programs that provide assistance and basic living needs to neighbors year-round, as well as Christmas gifts, at no cost.

Leading up to this event, interns are asked to collect items from the list below and bring them to be sorted at the new CCYR building.

Acceptable Donation Items:

Clothing & Accessories – Gently used clothing from infant to adult
- Summer clothing (every age group – High Priority)
- Shoes (Men’s and older boys’ sizes – High Priority)
- Belts
- Jackets
- Jewelry
- Bags/Purses
Clothing/Textile Recycling
- Unwearable/torn/stained clothing, sheets, and thin blankets
New Toys

This event is part of the 2026 GO Rocket City! Intern Program. In partnership with FuelAL and Innovate Alabama, the GO Rocket City! Intern Program will feature a series of social, service, and professional development events for interns and college students living and working in the Huntsville area this summer. Interns and students will have the opportunity to connect with fellow interns across the region, while learning from business and industry leaders and experiencing all that the Rocket City has to offer them.
