Christmas Charities Year Round (CCYR) is one of Madison County's oldest\, locally-founded nonprofits with programs that provide assistance and basic living needs to neighbors year-round\, as well as Christmas gifts\, at no cost. \n\n\n\nLeading up to this event\, interns are asked to collect items from the list below and bring them to be sorted at the new CCYR building.\n\n \nAcceptable Donation Items:\n\n\n Clothing & Accessories Gently used clothing from infant to adult\n\n \n Summer clothing (every age group High Priority)\n Shoes (Men's and older boys' sizes High Priority)\n Belts\n Jackets\n Jewelry\n Bags/Purses\n \n \n Clothing/Textile Recycling\n \n Unwearable/torn/stained clothing\, sheets\, and thin blankets\n \n \n New Toys\n\n\n\nThis event is part of the 2026 GO Rocket City! Intern Program. In partnership with FuelAL and Innovate Alabama\, the GO Rocket City! Intern Program will feature a series of social\, service\, and professional development events for interns and college students living and working in the Huntsville area this summer.
