2020 Lunch & Learn: Deciphering Cybersecurity Law in Alabama (5 Pitfalls to Avoid)
THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL. NO WALK-INS.
This seminar will provide an introduction to the growing cybersecurity threats facing consumers and businesses alike. We'll explore the Alabama Data Breach Notification Act, which includes the new reporting requirements that became effective on June 1, 2018.
Businesses that store sensitive employee or customer information must take precautions to protect that data from unauthorized disclosure. As more Alabama businesses succumb to costly data breaches, it is vital to carefully evaluate and implement reasonable precautions to minimize cybersecurity threats. This workshop will explore five common pitfalls businesses face when preparing for or responding to such incidents.
