Social networks are one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. Over the past 5 years, social media has become an essential aspect of digital marketing. Facebook alone is the biggest and arguably most powerful social network in the world with 1.55 billion active monthly users.
Regardless of your company type or size, you need to be on Facebook engaging with your customers. This presentation will focus on why it is important to use social media and offer effective ways to market your business.

A native of Darlington, South Carolina, Dr. Brittany A. Holloman has a professional career as a higher education educator. She currently serves as the assistant to the president and a student affairs fellow at Alabama A&M University (AAMU). Prior to joining AAMU, Holloman served her alma mater, Stillman College, as an admissions recruiter and coordinator for the Scholarship Office. While in this capacity, she helped lead the college in increasing student enrollment and retention. Previously, Holloman served as an adjunct instructor at AAMU. Prior to transiting into higher education, she worked with the U.S. Forest Services as a forestry and wildlife technician.
Holloman graduated with honors from Stillman College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She attended AAMU, where she earned a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Environmental Planning. Holloman went on the earn the Doctorate of Philosophy from Jackson State University in Higher Education.
She is active in several professional, civic and social organizations. In her spare time, she operates a blog – "Real Talk with Dr. Bee" – where the focus is to inform, inspire, and encourage individuals on their journey through academia. Holloman also host a brunch series called 'Brunch with Brittany' where a safe space is created to have open, impactful conversations and offer transformative tips to inspire and execute plans of action.
