2018 Montgomery Trip

The Chamber's annual trip to the State Capitol is designed to advance the Chamber's State Agenda and provide an opportunity to meet with key leaders in state government. Past trips have included meetings with the Governor, members of the Governor's Cabinet and the leadership of the Alabama Legislature.

Local businesses and elected leaders say they have found it to be an excellent opportunity to network with other community leaders and familiarize themselves with Montgomery and our critical state issues.

The Montgomery Trip will be an overnight stay. We will meet at the Chamber and leave by bus on Tuesday, travel to the Renaissance Hotel in Montgomery where there will be an evening reception.  We will leave Montgomery after lunch on Wednesday.

The Registration Fee includes optional bus transportation.  When registering, please indicate if you are planning to ride the bus.  Hotel registration is not included - click HERE for hotel reservations.

8 a.m. - Welcome and introductions, Gary Bolton
8:10-8:30 - Senator Arthur Orr
Check out of Hotel - drive to State Capitol
9:30 a.m. - Convene on Floor of the Alabama House of Representatives
9:30 a.m. - Speaker Mac McCutcheon
10 a.m. - Rep. Anthony Daniels, Minority Leader
10:30 a.m. - Clinton Carter, Alabama Finance Director
11 a.m. - Dr. Ed Richardson, Alabama School Superintendent
11:30 a.m.-12 p.m. - Walk across street to RSA Plaza
12 p.m. - Luncheon with Governor Ivey, RSA Plaza Terrace
