Colliding Neutron Stars: Is Fact Stranger than Fiction?
Join us for Geek2Geek as we explore the cosmos from Huntsville ... gamma-ray bursts, gravitational waves, and more. Huntsville played a role in the discovery of gravitational waves, which secured the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics for Weiss, Barish and Thorne, three of the founders of LIGO.
Geek2Geek is a lightning-round after-hours tech talks with craft beer/wine/food and a twist. Presenters have only 5 minutes and 15 slides (inspired by the Pecha Kucha format – 20 seconds per slide) to present their topics.
