UAH Engineering Technology Bachelor’s Degree Program to Host a Launch Party for Prospective Students.

The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), a part of the University of Alabama System, will host a Launch Party on October 11, 2022 from 5:45 to 7:00 PM in the UAH Student Services Building (SSB) Room 112. The Launch Party will introduce a new degree program, the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET). The BSET program is designed to meet the needs of students seeking to pursue a career in applied engineering and to prepare them to take advantage of the many opportunities currently available for highly-skilled technical workers.

At the Launch Party, prospective students will have the opportunity to meet faculty and hear from a panel of experts to learn about the many opportunities available to Engineering Technology graduates. The panel of experts will include Jose Rivera from Blue Origin, Jessica Kim Duong from Toyota Manufacturing, Dr. Jeffrey Little from UAH, and Scott Sandlin, a recent graduate of the Bachelor’s in Professional Studies program with an Engineering Technology concentration. Light refreshments will be served and UAH application fees will be waived for attendees.

The flexible BSET program allows students to have both a career and an education. Required courses are offered at least once a year and can be taken either in a remote format or in a hybrid format.
