Three North Alabama Health Centers Unite for Community Fun & Wellness Block Party

Three North Alabama Community Health Centers Unite to Connect Families with Care
CNAHSI, HAPPI Health and Thrive Alabama available for joint interviews ahead of the August 8 Community Fun & Wellness Block Party

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Three North Alabama community health centers are joining forces to help families discover trusted, affordable healthcare—regardless of their insurance status.

Central North Alabama Health Services, Inc. (CNAHSI), HAPPI Health and Thrive Alabama will host the annual Community Fun & Wellness Block Party from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Butler Green Park at Campus 805.

Together, the three nonprofit healthcare organizations serve more than 30,000 North Alabama residents each year. Community health centers provide comprehensive, accessible care to people of all ages, regardless of income or insurance status. Collectively, services offered by the three organizations include medical, dental and behavioral healthcare, STI/STD services, chiropractic care, pharmacy services, prescription assistance and insurance enrollment support.

Held during National Health Center Week, the free block party combines entertainment, food and family activities with health screenings, healthcare information and access to local nonprofit resources. The goal is to create a welcoming environment where families can discover trusted healthcare and community support before an urgent need arises.

"National Health Center Week events give us an important opportunity to raise awareness of the affordable, high-quality care available in our community. This block party strengthens those connections and helps families access resources that can have a lasting impact."

— Carleton Pyfrom Sr., Chief Executive Officer, Central North Alabama Health Services, Inc.

"Thrive Alabama is proud to be part of Huntsville's 6th Annual Community Fun & Wellness Block Party. While Thrive Alabama, Central North Alabama Health Services and HAPPI Health are separate nonprofit organizations, we come together with one shared purpose—to connect our community with quality healthcare, wellness resources and the services families need to thrive."
— Mary Elizabeth Marr, Chief Executive Officer, Thrive Alabama

"Community health is strongest when we work together. Through our partnership with Thrive Alabama and Central North Alabama Health Services, the Community Fun & Wellness Block Party reflects our shared commitment to expanding access to care, promoting healthy lifestyles and connecting families with the resources they need. We look forward to celebrating National Health Center Week with the communities we are honored to serve."
