The North Alabama International Trade Association (NAITA) presented Huntsville-based Polaris Sensor Technologies with the 2025 NAITA Global Trade Award at its 42nd Annual World Trade Day luncheon on May 15.  L to R: Anne Burkett of NAITA, Dr. David Chenault of Polaris Sensor Technologies, and Amanda Berkey of NAITA.

Daryl Davis, NAITA President & Attorney with Leo Law Firm; David Chenault, President & CEO of Polaris Sensor Technologies; and Keith Robinson, Director, FMS & Aviation Systems, SES, Inc. Keith presented the 2025 NAITA Global Trade Award, representing SES – the 2024 recipient of the NAITA Global Trade Award.

As a small business navigating the complexities of global markets, Polaris has benefited from its involvement in NAITA that brings together a community of like-minded professionals, allowing for the exchange of best practices, partnership opportunities, and mutual support. This has been especially impactful in this region—where the economy is heavily influenced by the defense industry and where aversion to exporting may keep many businesses from realizing the full potential and benefits of the international market.

Last year, Polaris exceeded $150,000 in export sales. This year, they are on track to exceed $1,000,000 in international trade. These milestones are not just numbers – they are a testament to what is possible with the tools, encouragement, and access that businesses need to grow internationally.

“NAITA’s initiatives are thoughtfully designed to empower businesses with the knowledge, network, and confidence needed to engage in export activities responsibly and successfully and thanks in large part to NAITA’s programs and advocacy, we have overcome those barriers.”
    - Dr. David Chenault, President & CEO, Polaris Sensor Technologies

The NAITA Global Trade Award was presented by Keith Robinson, Director of FMS & Aviation Systems with SES, Inc., the previous Global Trade Award Recipient, and accepted by Dr. David Chenault, President & CEO of Polaris Sensor Technologies, during the 42nd Annual NAITA World Trade Day Luncheon Celebration at The Westin Huntsville.
