U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum Celebrates 25 Years of Honoring American Veterans

HUNTSVILLE, AL — The U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum will celebrate its 25th Anniversary with a special commemorative event on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Jaycee Community Building at John Hunt Park in Huntsville.
 
The public is invited to join the museum for a morning of remembrance, reflection, and celebration as the organization marks 25 years of preserving and sharing the stories of American servicemen and women.

The anniversary program will begin at 10 a.m. and will include a keynote speaker, a message from Museum Director Randy Withrow, and a special 25 Years of Remembrance Dedication honoring the people and stories that have shaped the museum over the past quarter-century.
 
Following the formal program, attendees are invited to participate in an open house featuring veteran services and historic preservation organizations. The event provides an opportunity for the community to learn more about organizations dedicated to serving veterans and preserving America's military history.
 
"This anniversary is an important milestone for the museum and for everyone who has contributed to its mission over the past 25 years," said Museum Event Coordinator Mallorie Edwards. "It is an opportunity to remember those who came before us, recognize the veterans and volunteers who have helped build this organization, and look forward to the museum's future."
 
The 25th Anniversary event at the Jaycee Building is free and open to the public. Please note that museum admission is not included with the anniversary event. The museum, located nearby, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be hosting a Living History Day with reenactors and firing demonstrations also on November 7.
 
Community members, veterans, military families, history enthusiasts, and organizations are encouraged to attend this special celebration and help the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum commemorate 25 years of remembrance, preservation, and honoring those who served.
