Kids to Love Celebrates Opening of Smith Family Wellness Center

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Kids to Love officially cut the ribbon on its most ambitious initiative yet—the Smith Family Wellness Center, in Memory of Mark C. Smith on Thursday, Aug. 21. The event brought together donors, supporters, and community leaders to celebrate a major milestone in wellness and family support services.

The 17,000-square-foot building, located at 140 Castle Drive in Madison, unites four signature areas of service under one roof:

Smith Family Wellness Center, Home of the Grant Hill Trauma Team – expert mental wellness and trauma therapy for children and families, made possible by Brad and Stacey Hill, founders of the Hill Family Foundation, in memory of their late son, Grant Hill. A special mural of Grant—depicting his time playing football at the University of Alabama—honors his dream of starting a mental wellness center in North Alabama to provide youth behavioral therapy, improve mental wellness, and help young people work toward their personal goals.

The Isenberg Center for Education and Innovation – driving learning, workforce readiness, training for foster families, and featuring a new event space made possible by Hank Isenberg, founder of IronMountain Solutions.

The Curtis Cares Center – providing essential resources and crisis support, made possible by Matt and Courtney Curtis, founders of Matt Curtis Real Estate.

Coming in 2026: The Kids Clinic – expanding healthcare access for children in foster care, made possible by the Brooks Gray Foundation.
Since launching our trauma care services, Kids to Love has already served 357 clients, delivering critical support for some of the most vulnerable children and families in our region.

“This is more than a building—it’s a promise to children and families that they don’t have to walk through pain or uncertainty alone,” said Lee Marshall, Founder and CEO of Kids to Love. “With our new campus expansion, we’re creating a hub of hope and healing that will make a lasting difference for generations.”

The new trauma center also offers unique ways for the community to make a lasting impact, including naming rights opportunities and a Donor Heart Wall to honor those who want to invest in a legacy of hope and healing.
