His Way Recovery Center to Host ''No Man Left Behind'' Fundraising Dinner Featuring Retired Marine Corps Lieutenant General Willie J. Williams

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — His Way Recovery Center will host its annual No Man Left Behind Fundraising Dinner on Thursday, August 20, 2026, inviting the community to an inspiring evening celebrating lives transformed through Christ-centered recovery while raising support for men overcoming addiction.

The keynote speaker for this year's event is Lieutenant General Willie J. Williams, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.), a retired three-star general whose distinguished military career spanned nearly 40 years. Throughout his service, Lt. Gen. Williams commanded and served at every level of the Marine Corps, including his final assignment as Director of the Marine Corps Staff at Headquarters Marine Corps in Washington, D.C., where he served as a principal advisor to the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

A highly respected leader, Lt. Gen. Williams led major Marine Corps commands in both the United States and Japan, served more than 13 years as a general officer, and received numerous military honors, including the Distinguished Service Medal. His legacy of leadership extends beyond the military through his continued service to nonprofit organizations, education, and community leadership. His life's work has been recognized by the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, where his story has been preserved as part of America's history.

The evening's theme, "No Man Left Behind," reflects both a military principle and the mission of His Way Recovery Center. Just as the armed forces are committed to leaving no service member behind, His Way is committed to walking alongside every man seeking freedom from addiction, offering hope, accountability, and lasting transformation through Christ.

Guests will hear powerful stories of recovery, learn how His Way is changing lives across North Alabama, and discover opportunities to partner with the ministry through sponsorships and ongoing support.

"Recovery is about more than overcoming addiction," said Tom Reynolds, Executive Director of His Way. "It's about restoring faith, rebuilding families, and helping men discover the purpose God has for their lives. We are honored to welcome Lt. Gen. Williams, whose lifelong commitment to servant leadership and investing in others perfectly reflects the heart of our mission."

Community members, churches, businesses, and civic leaders are invited to attend. Individual tickets and table sponsorships are available.
