Heart of the Valley YMCA Offers Free Admission to Military Families During Armed Forces Week
HUNTSVILLE, AL - In celebration of Armed Forces Week, the Heart of the Valley YMCA is honoring the service and sacrifice of military personnel by offering free admission to all active duty service members, veterans, and their families from Monday, June 2 through Monday, June 9, 2025.
With a valid military ID, guests can enjoy complimentary access to all Heart of the Valley YMCA locations in Huntsville and Madison. Amenities include state-of-the-art fitness centers, sauna and steam rooms, group exercise classes and free Child Watch babysitting at all three branches, with swimming pools, teen centers and racquetball at the Southeast and Hogan. Admission to the outdoor pool and splash park at the Hogan Y is also included.
“Armed Forces Week is a time to recognize the incredible commitment and courage of our nation’s service members and their families,” said Jennifer Dykes, Director of Marketing and Communications of the Heart of the Valley YMCA. “Opening our doors is a small but meaningful way to say thank you and to support their well-being in our community.”
This limited-time offer is available to those with a valid military ID and is good for one guest pass per family, valid only during Armed Forces Week.
The YMCA has long supported military families through programs that promote healthy living, youth development, and community connection. This initiative continues that commitment by offering a welcoming, supportive space for rest, recreation, and resilience.
The Heart of the Valley YMCA provided 3,818 service members and their families in fee assistance for YMCA programs and services in 2024.
