Calhoun brings back Christmas at Calhoun: A free holiday celebration for the community!

The holiday spirit is about to come alive at Calhoun Community College! After a few years off, Christmas at Calhoun: A Gift to the Community is returning on Monday, December 2, with a festive celebration that’s fun for all ages. This free, family-friendly event will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Grand Foyer of the Sparkman Building on Calhoun’s Huntsville campus, 102 Wynn Dr. NW Huntsville, AL.

This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a variety of exciting activities, crafts, and entertainment to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Best of all? It’s completely FREE, and everyone in the community is invited to join the fun!

“We’re excited to bring back Christmas at Calhoun and give our community a chance to create wonderful memories while experiencing the joy of the season,” said Dr. Jimmy Hodges, President of Calhoun Community College. “This event has always been a favorite, which is why we felt it was so important to bring it back and once again offer a day of fun, laughter, and good cheer for everyone to enjoy. It’s our gift to the community, and we can’t wait to kick off the holiday season with our friends,” Hodges added.

Event Highlights Include:

• Santa Bouncy House: Jump into the holiday fun with a bouncy house featuring everyone's favorite holiday icon—Santa!
• Mechanical Reindeer Ride: Think you’ve got what it takes to help guide Santa’s sleigh? Try out the mechanical reindeer and test your skills!
• Build-Your-Own Holiday Plushy Station: Create your very own cuddly holiday friend! Choose from a variety of plush toys and dress them in festive outfits.
• Christmas Craft Stations: Make personalized ornaments and snow globes to take home.
• Pictures with Santa: Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo with Calhoun Santa.
• Face Painting & Balloon Animals: Enjoy festive face painting or get a fun balloon keepsake!
• Live Holiday Music: Enjoy some of your favorite holiday songs.
• Complimentary Refreshments: Enjoy dinner on us and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa and cookies.
