Bradley’s Schyler Burney Receives Emerging Young Lawyers in Healthcare Award
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (April 20, 2026) – Bradley attorney Schyler B. Burney has been named a recipient of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Sixth Annual Emerging Young Lawyers in Healthcare award, which recognizes young lawyer members of the ABA’s Health Law Section who exemplify a broad range of achievement, vision, leadership, and legal and community service in health law. Ms. Burney was presented with the award at the ABA Health Law Section’s Emerging Issues in Healthcare Law Conference on April 10 in Nashville.

An associate in the firm’s Huntsville office, Ms. Burney has a broad range of litigation experience at both the trial and appellate levels, with a focus on healthcare litigation, Medicare Advantage regulatory disputes, government investigations, and toxic tort litigation. She is an active member of the ABA’s Health Law Section and serves on the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Development Council. She serves on the Young Lawyers Board of the Huntsville Bar Association and is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association. Ms. Burney was selected to the second cohort in 2026 of Momentum’s Upward leadership class in Huntsville, a nine-month program focused on professional and personal development for early to mid-career women.
Ms. Burney received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law and earned her B.S., magna cum laude, from Auburn University. While attending law school, she served as an executive notes and comments editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and worked as a student attorney in the Roderick and Solange MacArthur Justice Clinic.
