Former NFL Player Kendall Newson brings on Bailor Group CEO, Sonya Bailor to Help Launch NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter

The NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter Officially Launches

The news was released on November 9 through the NFL Alumni Association's Alabama Chapter website, listing Huntsville, Alabama resident Sonya Bailor, CEO of Bailor Group LLC as the Alabama Chapter Liaison.  Bailor Group is a management & marketing consulting firm, focusing on growth strategy based in Huntsville, AL.  Ms. Bailor was referred to the NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter's new Chapter President, Kendall Newson by Al Smith, the Chapter President for the Tennessee Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association.  

Kendall Newson and Sonya Bailor began having business meetings in October 2022 to discuss how she could help to get this NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter launched right! Shortly after Ms. Bailor and Mr. Newson began meeting, she was invited to become part of the board. She accepted and is now the Chapter Liaison.  The other board members are: former NFL player Donald Hayes as Chapter Vice President, former professional sports & celebrity representative Jason Barr as Chapter Treasurer/Secretary, and fashion & beauty stylist and player wife Tiffany Newson as Membership Director.

Kendall Newson is a former Miami Dolphin and currently a Professional Bass Pro Angler and the new NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter President. Mr. Newson is well versed in marketing, business, coaching and non-profit community work. Mr. Newson loves all things involving the outdoors, so this chapter can get ready for golfing, fishing, football camps, and many more community & charitable events to come, as well as monthly meet & greets to get to know all the local former NFL players and their families. Mr. Newson has over ten years of work in the nonprofit sector and combined with his love for helping children’s education and mentoring, plus his business experience in sports and marketing will help take this chapter to great heights. His goals and vision for this Alabama NFL Alumni chapter include providing life and business tools for this brotherhood of past players, as well as creating exceptional events to engage our community and raise much-needed funds for those in need. This promises to be a phenomenal chapter with Mr. Newson at the helm.

Sonya Bailor, formerly on the launch team for School of the Legends, a social platform previously through the NFL Players Association, and has stayed in contact and collaboration with many former NFL players through her personal life and business endeavors.  With Ms. Bailor's company, Bailor Group helping organizations with their internal scalability as well as scaling them externally, it was a great fit to have her join forces with the new Chapter President and other board members to assist in getting this Alabama Chapter launched and growing.  Ms. Bailor has served on several nonprofit boards with a heart towards helping children and women from preventing abuse and helping after abuse, education, and cancer programs.  She also has a mentoring program to help level up the next generation of leaders, plus public speaking.  With Ms. Bailor on the board of the NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter, it will ensure their successful launch and elevate our state's new chapter to the greatest heights through her wealth of experience and track record.  As the Chapter Liaison, she is the main contact for the community members and businesses.

Only one short month later, with Ms. Bailor's guidance, we are excited to say to all of the former players and community in and around Alabama - We are here! The NFL Alumni Alabama Chapter has officially launched. The chapter's first meet & greet will be held on November 26, 2022 for a meeting and Iron Bowl Watch Party in Birmingham, AL.
