About Us

Sling and Stones, LLC was inspired by Malcom Gladwell's book ''David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants''. It is the culmination of the lifelong journey of its founder, Mike Ball whose circuitious path led him through childhood trauma and into service in the Marine Corps, the Alabama State Troopers, and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation before his election to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2002. Mike left public office in 2022 to devote his remaining time and energy to entertaining, encouraging, educating, advising, and inspiring others.
