In 2010, North Wind was purchased by Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), an Alaska Native Corporation. CIRI is one of 12 land-based Alaska Native regional corporations created by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971 and benefits Alaska Native people who had ties to the Cook Inlet region and beyond.
The North Wind family of companies operate throughout the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam and offering a wide range of services that encompass environmental, construction, facility operations and infrastructure, and professional services.
