About Us
Land Trust of North Alabama preserves North Alabama’s scenic, historic & ecological resources through conservation, recreation and education. The Land Trust currently protects over 8500 acres for the public benefit, providing a buffer to development, protecting natural resources, and maintaining the habitat for plants and wildlife. Residents and visitors alike can explore 70+ miles of free public trails on eight nature preserves. The Land Trust also provides environmental education programs and guided hikes to encourage future stewards and connect people with nature.
