About Us
Created in 1900, the Jackson County Commission is the governing body of the County, our authority comes from the Alabama State Legislature. We work closely with governmental agencies, local municipalities, the local legislative delegation, congressional representatives, and others in a cooperative effort to achieve positive results for our County.
Mission: The Jackson County Commission is made up of five elected members whose mission is to provide leadership, resources, and citizen services to people who live, visit, and work in Jackson County, Alabama.
