About Us

General and Automotive Machine Shop was founded in 1945 by William A. Boles in Huntsville, Ala. It has been a manufacturing company for most of that time: Remanufacturing Internal Combustion engines, Gas and Diesel. It also remanufactured electric generators.

Over the years General Automotive has become a dealer for many engines and electric generator brands. It has accumulated large inventories for these products going back to the 1940's. It has one of the most unusual inventory of connecting rods covering all makes from the 1940's to the current years.
