The concept of a credit union is one where people can get better financial services by pooling their resources and working together.
In 1951, these principles were brought to Gadsden, AL, when a group of seven Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Inc. employees each pulled $5.25 from their pockets and chartered Family Savings Credit Union.
Since that time, Family Savings has grown to over 70,000 members with eleven branches located in Alabama and Georgia.
