MEMBER EVENT: Understanding Blockchain and Crypto Currency

The AFCEA Huntsville Chapter invites you to join us at the Jackson Center for an informative luncheon on “Understanding Blockchain and Crypto Currency.” Our Keynote speaker will be Mr. Tom Plunkett, Consulting Solutions Director with Oracle.
 
This technical presentation will describe Blockchain and how it evolved from Cryptography and Crypto Currency. There are no pre-requisites for this presentation other than an interest in learning more about Blockchain technology.  The speaker will also describe several Federal Government Blockchain projects.
 
Speaker Bio:  Tom Plunkett is a Consulting Solutions Director with Oracle. He is an author and a frequent speaker on software topics. Previously, he practiced patent law for a law firm, and he is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the Patent Bar.  He has also taught computer science courses for Virginia Tech. He has a B.A. and a J.D. from George Mason University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, and has taken graduate courses from Stanford University.
