American women were granted the right to vote with the passage of the 19th Amendment, which was ratifed on August 18, 1920, almost 100 years ago. Many determined women fought to gain that right. This public presentation will educate or remind participants of the struggle facing our foremothers in the right for voting equity. It will outline the important events and introduce leading characters in that transformational period of American history.
