MEMBER EVENT: Rocket City Jazz Orchestra Sock Hop

August is going by fast and that means the end of summer, a new school year and the annual Huntsville Swing Dance Society Sock Hop featuring the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra.

Think back to the 50s and dress in style with your scarves, tight jeans, leather jackets and slick hair. Come dressed like the bees knees and compete in our sock hop costume contest, and remember, while poodle skirts are always appreciated, a little creativity goes a long way.

The whole shindig gets going with a lesson from 7-8 p.m., and the main dance will go from 8-11 p.m
