Our team here at the Cook Museum of Natural Science is excited to announce that we will be opening our doors to the public in Decatur, Alabama! For many in the North Alabama region, this has been a much-anticipated announcement. Since our 2015 groundbreaking in downtown Decatur, our community has been buzzing. After years of hard work, we are now approaching both the finish line of our construction and preparation, and the starting point of something amazing. Our hope is to engage, excite, and educate visitors of all ages, create family memories and inspire lifelong learners. We’re excited to deliver a resource and destination that the residents and visitors of this region can enjoy for generations to come. We hope you’ll join us in the homestretch as we prepare to open our doors for the first time.
