Join us for a very special ceremony and celebration on March 25. The Honorable Casey Wardynski, PhD, COL (R), former Superintendent of Huntsville City School and current Huntsville resident, has been confirmed and sworn in as the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs. The community will host a special swearing-in ceremony at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch on March 25 at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. The cost to attend the ceremony and reception is $30.
In his capacity as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for M&RA, Wardynski supervises Army strategy, policy, programs, budgets and compliance related to functions such as recruiting, readiness and mobilization, civilian and military manpower, medical and health affairs, family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation, the review of soldier records, force structure policy, manpower analysis, the Army-wide Equal Employment Opportunity Program and critical matters pertaining to Reserve Affairs. He exercises oversight for 1,000,000 Soldiers, 300,000 DA civilians, and programs in excess of one hundred billion dollars.
