Winner of the 2005 Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize for Best Play, Doubt is set in a Catholic school in 1964, a time of great change in America. The principal, a strict, old-school nun, accuses a popular and progressive priest of having an inappropriate relationship with an altar boy. The man seems to be concealing something, but what?
Certain of his guilt but armed only with suspicions, she sets out to have him removed. Is the priest a child abuser protected by the male Church hierarchy, or is the nun trying to destroy an innocent man who threatens tradition and her authority?
