Cyber threats are an increasing concern for businesses of all sizes, but small and mid-sized businesses can be especially vulnerable because they often have limited cybersecurity resources. This program will bring together representatives from the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to help business owners and organizational leaders better understand today’s cyber threat landscape and the practical steps they can take to protect their organizations.
Speakers will discuss common threats facing businesses, including phishing and business email compromise, ransomware, credential theft, and other cyber-enabled fraud, and explain what organizations should do if they experience or suspect a cyber incident. Attendees will also learn about free cybersecurity tools, assessments, guidance, alerts, and other resources available through CISA and the federal government to help identify vulnerabilities, strengthen cyber defenses, and improve incident preparedness.
The session will focus on practical, accessible information businesses can put to work immediately, helping attendees better understand what to watch for, how to reduce their risk, where to find trusted resources, and who to contact when an incident occurs.
