Dr. Karockas Watkins
CEO, Ability Plus & Vision Excellence Company
Dr. Karockas “Doc Rock” Watkins is, first of all, a servant. He is currently the CEO of Ability Plus, which employs over 300 people and serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He also is the CEO of Vision Excellence Company (VEC), which provides Leadership Consulting and Professional Development.
Watkins also excels in Leadership Consulting and Professional Development as well as being an expert in Emotional Intelligence, certified as a “Train-the-Trainer” through TalentSmart in San Diego. He is a Certified Leadership Coach and a Certified Executive Coach. Watkins has led over 250 crusades and leadership conferences in 25+ countries globally as a national and international motivational speaker and trainer. He is the co-author of two books and the author of three books: God-A-Tude, No Bad Days, and Attitude Determines Altitude.
Watkins holds multiple degrees from a bachelor's in mechanical engineering from Kettering University, a Master of Theology, two Doctorate Degrees, one in Theology and the other in Philosophy, both from North Carolina College of Theology, as well as a graduate certificate from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School Executive Development Institute in Business Excellence. Watkins is the recipient of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber's Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award for 2024.
He passionately serves his community by actively serving on multiple boards within the community. Watkins currently serves on the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber’s Executive Committee, Launch 2035 Executive Committee, Committee of 100 BizPac Board, Cadence Bank Regional Advisory Board, Chairman of Heart of the Valley YMCA Board, Alabama A&M University College of Business and Public Affairs Advisory Board, Drake State Technical College Foundation Board, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board, and several others.
Watkins is a native of Decatur, AL and has been instrumental in many community development and revitalization endeavors. He has been married to Dr. Audra Watkins for 31 years, and they have two daughters, Brianna (28), Christian (24), and a son, Joshua (18). Watkins has been an ordained minister for 33 years and serves as the General Overseer/Sr. Pastor of Emmanuel The Connection Church in Huntsville, AL. He is very passionate about seeing people live productive lives, and though he is graced to serve in all of these capacities, he is just honored to be a servant of people and wishes to help them maximize their core values and lifelong potential.
