2023 Workplace Culture & Mental Health
Companies can set the tone for employee well-being by ensuring their corporate culture encourages a healthy balance between mental health and high performance.
Join us as we hear from Rachel Sullivan, founder of Solid Ground Counseling Center and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She will discuss how building a corporate culture that supports mental wellness can help increase efficiency, eliminate mental health stigmas, and improve overall employee well-being.
About the Speaker:
Rachel Sullivan, owner | founder
Solid Ground Counseling Center
Rachel Sullivan is a married mom of four, local to the Madison, AL area. As an Army veteran, she has a strong desire to change the negative stigma surrounding, and improve accessibility to, mental health care in her community. She possesses a passion for pouring hope and life back into people and approaches her education around mental health with the same enthusiasm.
Sullivan has over 10 years experience in assisting and strengthening family and organizational systems. As an undergraduate, she studied Child and Family Development and Psychology, and went on to get her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Sullivan is also a provisional Certified Family Life Educator. In all these roles, she focuses on helping people and organizations identify and achieve wellness.
As a mental health professional, Sullivan has seen the bidirectional impact of stress and mental illness in home and work settings. This prompted her to begin asking "What can I do about this on a larger scale?." With the assistance of a colleague, she began to develop a program that helped pull relevant clinical tools into an interactive workshop setting with the intent of providing digestible education and practical skills. The original workshop was very well received and has since evolved into conference segments, webinars, and consultation around mental health and wellness.
