Jeff Gronberg

deciBel Research, Inc.

Jeff Gronberg is the CEO and president of deciBel Research, a Huntsville, Ala.-based small business specializing in research, development, and advancements of weapon systems and sensor technologies. During his career, he has worked at defining and implementing advanced technical solutions for various commercial and Government customers to solve challenging problems. Current and previous clients include the DoD, IC, DHS, FAA, various defense OEM contractors, E*Trade, The North Face, J. Crew, FedEx, and others.

Gronberg received his Bachelor of Science and additional graduate studies in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Alabama. He completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Tennessee and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama System, UAH Foundation Board, Redstone Regional Alliance, and the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board. Gronberg is a past board chair for the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, past chief volunteer officer (board chair) for the Heart of the Valley YMCA, past president for NDIA-Tennessee Valley Chapter, past president of HAMA, past finance chair for Leadership Huntsville/Madison County, and past finance chair for the Huntsville Committee of 100.

Prior to joining deciBel, Gronberg was vice president of Aerospace Engineering at ASI and director of Engineering Analysis at Teledyne Brown. Before focusing on federal government and defense, he spent the first part of his career in commercial consulting taking him to a variety of locations including Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, and others. Gronberg has been recognized with several awards and accolades in his professional life including the 2016 NDIA Kathleen P. Shridhar National Small Business Executive of the Year, the 2015 Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Russell G. Brown Executive Leadership Award, and the 2017 Huntsville Association of Technical Societies Joseph Moquin Professional of the Year ,among others. He is a native of Huntsville and lives here with his wife Amy, and they have 2 adult children.
