The Huntsville/Madison County Chamber and the Alabama Partnership for Children invite you to join area business leaders to discuss the role of child care in the regional labor force.
The Huntsville region is expecting to add thousands of jobs in the next few years, many in manufacturing with multiple and rotating shifts. Pre-COVID shortages in child care were made worse by many facilities going out of business during the pandemic. The current system of child care is inadequate to support working families today, and we must improve quality and accessibility to meet the workforce demands of the future. This event will highlight current challenges, including data from a recent Child Care Task Force study, and engage our community in discussions to help solve them as a workforce initiative.
