This two-hour workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the steps required and recommended for starting a small business in the State of Alabama.
The workshop will cover topic areas such as a Business Start up checklist, reserving a company name, pros and cons of optional legal structures, getting an tax number, ,business taxes getting a DUNS number (if required),and state and licensing requirements. The workshop will touch on the importance of resource partners such as a business attorney, a banker, an outside accountant, and an insurance agent. And finally, there will be a discussion of the value of a robust business plan and proforma financials.
Participants will also receive various helpful handouts as workshop take-aways.
