To help individuals\, families\, businesses\, and non-profit organizations to better prepare\, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System's Urban Affairs and New Nontraditional Programs unit will hold its first Urban Living Expo (ULE)\, and the theme is "Plan-Prepare-Practice: Don't Get Caught off Guard When Disaster Occurs!"\n\n\n\nThe primary objectives are to: \n\n engage the public through interactive displays\n disseminate information across Extension program areas to individuals\, families\, and local businesses and organizations about disasters\n help participants learn the most effective actions to take to maximize safety and ensure that their needs (and the needs of others) are adequately met should disaster strike\n\n\n\nIn addition\, we are asking participants to bring non-perishable food items that will be collected and donated to local food banks.\n\n\n\n\n\nExhibitors/Sponsors: \n\n\n\nExhibitors are asked to pay a set-up fee of $25 or provide a door prize of equal value.
