SUMMARY:MEMBER EVENT: Transforming Satellite Communications
DESCRIPTION:Please join Rocket City AFCEA and the Tennessee Valley AFA for a luncheon featuring Roy Priest of GATR speaking on transforming Satellite Communications.\n\n\n\nRoy Priest will discuss the transformation of the way satellite communications are being deployed by US Special Operations\, Marine Corps\, Air Force and Army commands\, as well as our allies. GATR's innovative\, inflatable satellite antenna terminals reduce Size\, Weight and Power (SWaP) by packaging a large aperture terminal (mostly 2.4m and 4m aperture) in a package 80% smaller and lighter than conventional\, rigid antennas. The technology has applications for deployed remote terminals\, Low Earth Orbit (LEO) tracking stations\, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations\, Troposcatter terminals and small team terminals. Multiple Programs of Record across the services have selected this capability as the cornerstone of future deployable communications.\n\n\n\nClick here to register.
