DESCRIPTION:The Alabama Cooperative Extension System will be conducting a 5.5-hour white-tailed deer management workshop. This program will cater to the landowner or manager who is interested in learning more about white-tailed deer and improving both their management strategy and property's habitat in order to attract\, hold\, and harvest better quality deer.\n\n\n\nTopics will include:\n\n	deer biology and habitat requirements\n	the role of food plots and predators in their management\n	advantages and instructions related to prescribed burning\n	quality deer management techniques\n	habitat enhancements\n	discussions regarding\, predators\, disease\, and baiting\n\nIn addition\, USDA-NRCS resources and assistance programs to help better manage and meet wildlife and land management goals will be outlined.   \n\n\n\nRegistration includes a seat at the workshop\, lunch\, and printed presentation materials and related articles.\n\n\n\n*Continuing Education Units: 5\n\n\n\nThe Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) operates as the primary outreach organization for the land-grant functions of Alabama A&M University and Auburn University.
